FED: Transport inquiry to take closer look at avgas crisis
CANBERRA, Jan 12 AAP - Transport Minister John Anderson has foreshadowed beefing up
the the Australian Transport and Safety Bureau (ATSB) inquiry into the original fuel contamination
alert which grounded some light aircraft from Christmas Eve.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Mobil's roles in the current contamination
crisis is likely to be investigated by the expanded government inquiry.
The contamination has resulted in Victoria's five air ambulances and six of the Royal
Flying Doctor Service's national fleet being …
